Zhang Xinyi (b. 1987, Shandong, China) works and lives in Beijing.
In 2010, She graduated from China Central Academy of Drama, majoring in stage art, with a bachelor's degree. In 2017, She graduated from China Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree. In 2019, She studied at the Karlsruhe University of Art and Design in Germany as an exchange student. In 2020, She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a Ph.D, Study under Professor Xu Bing. 2020-2021, Assistant professor at Shenzhen University. Currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Tsinghua University.
Her works focus on the relationship between Internet aesthetics and cultural consumption, as well as understanding the puzzles and problems of modern life from the perspective of iconography and art history. Her works involve paintings, installations, multimedia images, public art, etc.
